Job Title: Construction Project Manager

Location: Remote. Travel required.

The Opportunity:
Greenfield
is seeking a full-time, senior environmental construction project manager (CPM) with a strong background in remedial construction. The selected candidate will manage and support construction projects and related services at our Mobile, Alabama, site and several other Greenfield sites in the U.S.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate constructability and support the construction procurement and bid process

  • Design and roll out a company-wide construction services platform in a team setting

  • Mentor project managers and staff in construction services

  • Troubleshoot and mitigate contractor issues and disputes, and maximize contractor value

  • Support active construction projects across Greenfield trusts

  • Serve as an internal resource to reduce costs of external CPMs and owner’s representatives

Technical Skills:

  • Knowing site security and safety protocols and HASP preparation, review, and implementation

  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Working with interdisciplinary teams in a fiduciary ecosystem with multiple stakeholders

  • Communicating complex information to a nontechnical audience

  • Maximizing contractors’ performance through estimating and analytical skills

Other Abilities:

  • Knowledge of various Design and Build (D&B) contracts and processes

  • Highest priority on safety and loss prevention

  • Able to travel within the U.S. to provide construction team support (chartering, bid walks, kickoff meetings, quantities verification, completion walkthroughs, contractor meetings, and project strategy reviews)

Qualifications:

  • Degree in construction management, engineering, environmental science, or a related subject

  • 20+ years of previous experience in remedial construction (salary is commensurate with experience)

  • Previous experience with holistic site operations, including maintenance, monitoring, and wastewater systems

  • Previous experience in large-scale plant decommissioning and demolition

  • Proficiency in estimating and project management software

  • OSHA HAZWOPER site supervisor and/or other safety training certifications
