NAVASSA, NC (WWAY) — The process of cleaning up the Kerr-McGee Superfund Site in Navassa has been in the works for years.

Now the Multistate Trust is hosting a Community Visioning Workshop to get more input on what people want to see developed.
“A natural reserve with maybe a cultural center on it,” Project Manager, Richard Elliott said. “All the way to there are people in town that are very interested in getting, you know, high paying jobs and producing a tax base for the community. Which kind of implies a commercial or even industrial type development.”
